A successful partner's move to a new firm involves a complex interplay of financial, cultural and personal concerns. It is a process whose outcome has enormous consequences for that partner and his or her family and clients. It is tantamount to "career malpractice" for a partner to make such a change without getting the best professional advice available. Ø      Specialized Expertise:  Representing a partner is not the same as representing an associate or an in-house lawyer.  Issues around partnership structure and compensation, client transition, and fiduciary responsibilities that routinely come up in the context of representing a partner either don't exist or are significantly less complex in those other contexts.  MLA has a dedicated Partner Practice Group comprised of 32 consultants who focus on advising partners.  No other legal search firm in the world dedicates comparable resources to partner representation.
