Associate General Counsel
A large private equity firm in the Midwest has retained Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive, retained basis to conduct a search for a newly created attorney position. This position will be the second attorney for the firm reporting to the General Counsel. Our client offers a collegial, thoughtful environment and entrepreneurial approach.
• 6 + years experience gained in any combination of a top tier law firm, corporate in-house position and/or financial institution;
• Financial experience in fund formation, private equity, securities and mergers and acquisitions;
• Experience advising fund principals concerning legal issues related to operation of the firm, investor relations, legal liability management and transactional matters
• Strong transactional background;
• Private equity experience, although not required as long as the candidate has strong M&A experience in a top-notch environment, is strongly preferred.
Candidates MUST have top tier educational credentials and law firm training.
