Ben Lawrence

Ben Lawrence is a Managing Director in the In-House Practice Group of Major, Lindsey & Africa in the southeast; he is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. Ben leads the In-House practice in the Charlotte office while focusing on senior attorney searches for a broad range of corporate clients.

Ben has over 15 years of retained, executive, recruiting experience serving the senior-level recruiting needs of many of the Fortune 500 companies specializing in healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, financial services, real estate development, and mortgage banking. Over his career, he has successfully met the legal, compliance, regulatory, and enterprise risk management recruiting needs of well-known companies including Syngenta Biotechnology, Dow AgroSciences, WellCare, Lennar Corporation, GMAC, Freddie Mac, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo. Ben has the added benefit of previously working for Wachovia’s In-House Executive Search Group. This experience has equipped him with an enhanced perspective regarding the skills required by candidates to succeed in a dynamic and collaborative corporate environment.

As a result of Ben’s retained search firm and large corporate experience, he is adept at learning and understanding the professional requirements, needs, objectives, and philosophies of both his clients and attorney candidates. He offers his clients the experience of implementing a rigorous recruiting methodology combined with accurate and methodical candidate assessments and comparisons to ensure that his clients are in a position to hire the candidates that fit their exact specifications.
