Ben Lawrence

Ben Lawrence is a Managing Director in the In-House Practice Group of Major, Lindsey & Africa in the southeast; he is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. Ben focuses on senior attorney searches for a broad range of corporate clients.

Ben has over 15 years of retained, executive, recruiting experience serving the senior-level recruiting needs of several Fortune 500 companies. He has successfully established long-standing client relationships with GMAC, Countrywide Financial, Freddie Mac, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo. Many of the search engagements with these companies involved legal functions with an emphasis on regulatory compliance. Ben has the added benefit of previously working for Wachovia’s in-house Executive Search Group. This experience has equipped him with an enhanced perspective regarding the skills required by candidates to succeed in a dynamic and collaborative corporate environment.

As a result of Ben’s retained search firm and large corporate experience, he is adept at learning and understanding the professional requirements, needs, objectives, and philosophies of both his clients and attorney candidates. He offers his clients the experience of implementing a rigorous recruiting methodology combined with accurate candidate assessments and comparisons to ensure the highest probability of an ideal hire.
