Deborah Z. Thompson

Deborah Thompson, a Managing Director in the In-House Practice Group of the Philadelphia office of Major, Lindsey & Africa, has over 10 years of legal recruiting experience. Before coming to MLA, Deborah worked with a premier temporary attorney staffing firm, where she placed attorneys in short and long term positions with law firms, corporations and organizations in Philadelphia, its suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware.

Prior to her legal recruiting career, Deborah practiced law for 10 years as an associate with three large Philadelphia firms: Blank Rome, Duane Morris, and Wolf, Block. Her practice focused on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and general corporate law.

In her practice Deborah collaborates with her colleague, Julie Bonasso. Jointly they have more than 20 years of experience practicing law at several top firms and in-house in the Philadelphia legal community. Together they work on placing attorneys in corporations at all levels from counsel to General Counsel. They serve a broad spectrum of industries, including the insurance, pharmaceutical, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and energy industries. Deborah also partners with Julie to place lateral partners and associates in top national and regional law firms.
