Bio
Lynn Hubbard specializes in recruiting talented attorneys for corporate clients and building Major, Lindsey & Africa's in-house practice. Prior to joining MLA in October 2006, Lynn practiced maritime law and commercial litigation at Garvey Schubert Barer in Seattle where she served on the firm’s associate recruiting committee for several years. While practicing law, she volunteered as a CASA lawyer. Lynn was also involved with a proposed television channel, furthering her interests in media, advertising and technology. Before moving to the West Coast, Lynn interned for a marine insurance firm in Gothenburg, Sweden, providing advice on U.S. law and handling maritime issues arising around the world.
Lynn graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School, and attended Tulane’s summer program in Greece where she studied international and maritime law. She graduated with a B.A. in history from George Mason University.
Prior to law school, Lynn served as a cook and later as a first mate on a live-aboard scuba diving boat for vacationers in the Bahamas, where she earned her 100-ton United States Coast Guard Masters’ License.
Lynn lives in Seattle with her elementary school aged son. She enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding (poorly) and myriad other outdoor activities as well as coming up with business ideas she has no time to implement and reading business books.
