My priority is relational rather than transactional. I invest in trustworthy relationships with law firm management and candidates to meet and achieve the needs of my clients.

Andrew Ng is a senior legal recruiter in our Greater China offices, splitting time between the Beijing and Shanghai offices of Allegis-BN - China, an affiliate of Major, Lindsey & Africa, and our Hong Kong office. Andrew focuses on placing law firm partners and associates, whether based in Greater China or overseas, into international law firms operating in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. He is a native English speaker and conversant in Mandarin Chinese.

Andrew grew up in Southern California and has been living and working in Beijing since 2005. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children. Andrew finds great pleasure in completing a CrossFit workout as well as in cooking, in particular roasting and grilling meats.

With deep legal recruiting experience and long-standing relationships with law firms across the Greater China region, Andrew provides his candidates with professional and ethical guidance throughout the lateral move process. Though based and focused on working with candidates in China and Hong Kong, Andrew has a thriving cross-border practice that brings in-demand US-trained lawyers to the Greater China legal markets. Testaments to some laws firms' confidence in Andrew are the exclusive partner and associate engagements to fill strategic hiring needs that they entrust to him. These exclusives allow him to closely collaborate with firms to truly understand their practices and their practice leaders in order to market their opportunities to only the most suitable candidates.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Andrew was a consultant at a legal search firm in Beijing for several years where he advised associate, partner and in-house counsel candidates as they navigated their next career moves.
