Casey Gordon is a Director in our Midwest In-House Practice Group. She uses her knowledge of the legal industry and in-house experience to place attorneys at all levels within public and private, non-profit and academic legal departments throughout the Midwest.
Casey is originally from Baltimore and currently lives in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago with her husband and their (overly coddled) Goldendoodle. She’s a devoted Baltimore Ravens and adoptive Cubs fan as well as a blue crab and Old Bay enthusiast.
Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Casey served as deputy general counsel for Funding Circle, a global financial technology company. In this role, she acted as an advisor to the business on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues in an emerging and fast-growing industry, represented the company with a variety of external stakeholders, and supervised attorneys on the team. Before that, Casey worked as legislative counsel for the Uniform Law Commission, a national non-profit law reform organization, where she helped develop and enact model legislation in a range of subject areas.
Casey began her legal career as a litigation associate with Latham & Watkins, where she focused on internal and government investigations as well as general commercial litigation matters. Prior to law school, Casey worked on Capitol Hill as a staffer for a Senate committee.
