I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Being able to connect with someone on a personal level makes it easier to focus on what’s best for them, which means identifying opportunities for my candidates where they will thrive and presenting my clients with candidates that are ideal fits for their teams.

Jessica Demuth is a Managing Director with our Solutions Practice Group. In this role, she oversees business development and client management with Fortune 1000 companies and AmLaw firms in both Los Angeles and San Diego. With more than 15 years in the industry, Jessica specializes in the recruitment and placement of legal talent – attorneys, paralegals and other legal professionals – to fulfill her clients' interim needs related to lack of department bandwidth, spikes in workload, leave scenarios or where full-time headcount isn't justified. She prides herself on educating, strategizing and partnering with clients and candidates to reach a meaningful solution to any scenario. Jessica is extremely dedicated to fostering innovation in the workplace through diversity and inclusion initiatives and advocates for the recruitment, development and promotion of women and minorities.

Jessica is a former collegiate athlete and coach of women's lacrosse who enjoys hiking with her two dogs, trying out new restaurants and wine tasting.

Experience

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Jessica was a director of recruiting for a global talent solutions company, where she assisted corporate and law firm clients with contracting solutions, talent management and eDiscovery. She was responsible for the full recruiting cycle, involving both client and candidate, and was in charge of staffing and managing legal document review projects throughout the West Coast, including Colorado, Utah and Texas.

Before her career in recruitment, Jessica worked as an associate attorney at a commercial litigation firm in Jacksonville and then as a legal consultant on a project basis relating to entertainment, securities, financial and toxic tort matters in Los Angeles. Earlier in her career and prior to law school, she worked as a litigation paralegal.
