Kati Weaver is a Managing Director in our Texas office. She specializes in targeted law firm and in-house placements of associates. Kati is known for her ability to develop and sustain strong candidate and client relationships, which allows her to identify the most appropriate opportunities to match individual candidate needs. Her background as a former law firm associate and former managing director in the New York associate recruiting market makes her particularly well suited to facilitating lateral movements to and from the major markets.

Kati is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She enjoys cheering for her favorite sports teams (including LSU) and spending time with her husband and young son.

Experience

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Kati was a litigation associate for four years with the New Orleans office of Fowler Rodriguez; a 60-attorney firm with U.S. and international offices. She was a managing director with our New York office before moving back south with her family to focus on Texas and Louisiana recruiting. Kati has been quoted in industry articles by publications such as Law 360 and authored Keeping the Keepers: Retaining the Best Associates—Control the Controllable, which was published by the NALP Foundation as part of a national study of associate hiring and retention from 2006–2011.
