Michael Herald is a Director with our In-House Practice Group. His focus is on placing attorneys at all levels within corporate legal departments across the country and all industries. When partnering with clients, Michael aims to identify opportunities for Major, Lindsey & Africa to assist with satisfying business needs that exist within or beyond an organization's legal department.
Part of what drives Michael is a desire to be a steward for good corporate citizenship on behalf of the company. He is actively involved in several non-profit organizations and enjoys working with those organizations to discover new opportunities to collaborate with corporate partners to improve our communities and the lives of others.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing golf and traveling.
Before becoming a legal recruiter, Michael practiced law in Pittsburgh, Pa. He successfully defended corporations and organizations in matters involving employment issues, professional liability claims and commercial disputes. His litigation experience spanned all phases of discovery and trial.
Michael earned his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where he was a distinguished member of the mock trial team and Louis L. Manderino Honor Society. As an undergraduate, he studied German at the Goethe Institute in Heidelberg, Germany.
Michael assisted with placing the general counsel for the Humane Society of the United States.
