As a Managing Director and Office Leader for Interim Legal Talent in the Midwest, Shannon Murphy oversees business development initiatives, client delivery and recruiter leadership. She has successfully partnered with Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw firms to augment existing resources with consulting legal professionals and talented paraprofessionals who can address interim and project-based needs. Shannon also works to train and mentor junior recruiters to provide candidates and clients alike with top-notch service.

Outside of work, Shannon reads a book each week and enjoys traveling internationally and spending time with her family.
Shannon joined Major, Lindsey & Africa in 2012 as a Director in our New York office. For four years, she focused on recruiting and identifying seasoned attorneys and compliance professionals to fill the interim and project-based talent needs of a wide range of corporate and law firm clients. In January 2016, Shannon relocated to Chicago to help build the Interim Legal Talent team in the Midwest and was promoted to Managing Director at that time. She began working closely with the Midwest team to develop deeper client relationships and enhance the network of interim talent available for project work. Shannon was promoted to Office Team Lead in 2018.
Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Shannon worked at a boutique search firm specializing in identifying legal and compliance professionals for the financial services industry.
