Erasing the Stigma—Paula Davis

Burnout is a very real problem, especially in the legal profession. Paula Davis experienced burnout herself, which led her to leave the practice of law. She found her passion for helping people in other ways and turned it into a practice focused on helping law firms and organizations (and their people) cope with stress and build resilience. In this episode of Erasing the Stigma, Paula and Mark Yacano dig into how to cultivate office relationships within a hybrid environment and explore the notion of resilience as a part of company culture.

Paula Davis
is the founder of the Stress & Resilience Institute. She began her career as a commercial real estate lawyer. After seven years of law practice, she returned to school and completed the Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology program at the University of Pennsylvania. Paula completed her post-graduate work for the University of Pennsylvania, teaching and training resilience skills to soldiers and their families. This new program started by Penn and the US Army helped soldiers and their families cope with the stressors associated with multiple deployments and life in the Army generally. In 2014, Paula started the Stress & Resilience Institute to help organizations prevent burnout and build more resilient teams, leaders and cultures.
