Hanover, MD (January 3, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, welcomes Director Kate Mullen to its in-house counsel recruiting team in Seattle. Kate will focus on recruiting general counsel, chief-compliance officers and senior-level attorneys for corporate legal departments, not-for-profits and government agencies throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Kate spent six years as general counsel with Celtinkdesigns, a privately held company that designs, manufactures and exports Celtic art. Since 2015, Kate has also served as a consultant to early and mid-stage start-ups, guiding them on sales, marketing and legal. Prior to going in-house, Kate worked for LexisNexis and the Washington State Bar Association. She began her career as a conflicts attorney with Perkins Coie.

Kate earned her J.D. from University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science/History from Metropolitan State College.
