Funmi Jimoh is a Director – Candidate Development in our Houston office. She identifies talented legal professionals and lawyers for contract, interim and project-based assignments within law firms and on corporate legal teams.

Prior to her career in the legal industry, Funmi was a professional athlete and NCAA Division I College Track & Field coach. Funmi competed in the long jump for Team USA in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She also went on to represent the United States in the long jump at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, the 2011 World Championships in Korea and the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. Funmi then served as the assistant coach at Rice University for the women’s track and field program.

Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Funmi was a business development executive with Witnesses, et al., a medico-legal startup. Working as a business development executive, she marketed and promoted company services to experts in the medical field as well as experts in the legal field. From planning to implementation, she recruited and retained numerous clients and established strong business relationships. Prior to this, Funmi was a paralegal for Logica Expert Reviews and Diamond McCarthy LLP, recruiting law firm clientele and providing administrative support.
