Michelle L. Fivel is a Partner working both in the Los Angeles and New York offices. Michelle has a successful 15-year track record of placing associates and partners in top-tier international, national, regional and boutique law firms as well as prominent corporations. She is regularly called upon by law firms to provide advice regarding the lateral market, and she counsels attorneys to assist them in achieving their career goals.
Michelle is an avid skier and runner and she lives with her two young children, David and Ella, her husband, Tom, and their Boston Terrier, Remi.
Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Michelle spent six years as a bankruptcy associate, most recently in the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. She also worked as an associate in the New York offices of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP and Jones Day. While practicing, Michelle focused on all aspects of corporate bankruptcy law and bankruptcy litigation.
While in law school, Michelle completed externships for the United States Attorney's Office as well as for the Honorable Robert E. Littlefield Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of New York.
