New York, NY (April 6, 2016) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, announced today that Leslie A. Goldman has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its In-House Practice Group. Leslie, based in Houston, will work with corporations across a variety of industries to recruit General Counsel, senior attorneys and compliance officers.
Prior to joining MLA, Leslie was Vice President and General Counsel for Fisher HealthCare, a Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO) company providing a comprehensive portfolio of diagnostic products to the clinical market throughout the United States. While at TMO, Leslie also served as General Counsel for Athena Diagnostics, a provider of proprietary genetic testing, and Fisher Chemicals, a global chemical manufacturing and packaging business.
Leslie began her career with Proskauer in New York City as a corporate/securities associate and then moved to Houston where she joined the transactional healthcare group at Vinson & Elkins. She later practiced at Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton prior to its merger with Andrews Kurth. She then moved in-house and held roles at IFCO Systems (a Dutch logistics company) and Waste Management before joining TMO.
"Leslie's extensive experience as a General Counsel and law firm attorney will position her as a valuable consultant and bring a well-trained eye to each search as she helps to identify top legal talent on her clients' behalf," said Chad Marlow, Executive Director for MLA's In-House Practice Group.
Leslie earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was an associate editor and member of the Fordham Law Review. She is also a graduate of Yale University (B.A.) and University of New South Wales (M.A.). Among other things, she is a board member of the Yale Club of Houston and co-chair of its summer intern program.
