As a Director – Client Development, James Guay works closely with in-house legal departments and law firms to identify talent resources to address skill gaps, headcount shortage or other bandwidth issues.

As a native of Rhode Island, James is an avid Boston Bruins and New England Patriots fan. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, hiking with his dog, working out, volunteering and reading non-fiction.

James’s career has been rooted in successful client-facing roles with a focus on business development and sales. Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, he most recently served as a lead strategist for Gathr, launching a new business unit and developing the GTM initiatives needed for growth. Prior to that, James was director of sales for Cobalt, a 2011 Techstars graduate that delivers a comprehensive private market data set and analytical platform for private equity firms. He also held strategic account management roles with PTC, Thomson Reuters and Fuze.
