As Director for our Law Firm Management Practice, Karen Kleiman is responsible for leading executive-level retained searches for senior, non-legal law firm management roles, including in marketing, business development, finance, technology, diversity, human resources, knowledge management, professional development and firm administration.

Karen lives in Mequon, Wisconsin, with her husband Joe, occasionally their two college-aged children and their giant dog. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, skiing, hiking and just being outdoors.

Karen has been in the legal talent management field for more than 20 years. After graduating from the University of Florida College of Law, Karen practiced law for 10 years, both in government and the private sector, before shifting her focus to law firm administration and management. Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Karen was responsible for legal recruiting and professional development in large global and national law firms, helping legal professionals find career success and fulfilment. Karen is also a certified business coach.
