Monica del Villar, Director with Interim Legal Talent in our Washington, D.C., office, works closely with attorneys and other legal professionals looking for interim and project-based career opportunities as an alternate legal career path. She consults with her candidates to gain an understanding of their career desires and needs and helps match them with opportunities that best fit their goals.
Monica is a D.C. native who was raised in Kansas City, MO. While a lifelong fan of the KC Royals and Chiefs, since returning to D.C., she has enjoyed cheering on the Caps and Nationals. When she is not at work, Monica can be found running along one of the many scenic trails in the D.C. area.
Monica has extensive experience working in politics and the United States government. Most recently, she served as a legislative fellow in the Office of Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson. In this role, Monica conducted legislative research, organized events and sponsorships, and assisted the congresswoman in addressing constituent concerns. Monica has also worked as a law clerk for Senators Cory Booker and Brian Schatz as well as a judicial intern for the Honorable Marisa Demeo within the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
