Second Annual In-House to Power-House Professional Development Series
Sponsored by Major, Lindsey & Africa
The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law presents the Second Annual In-House to Power-House Professional Development Series. As a follow-up to our very successful 2015 series, the In-House Counsel Committee is planning a series of four (4) building block sessions designed to build from program-to-program and encourage, assist and foster the professional development of In-House Counsel.
Session 1: Tapping into Your Behavioral & Emotional Intelligence for In-House Success
The In-House Counsel Committee of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is pleased to invite you to Session One of the Second Annual In-House to Power-House Professional Development Series: Tapping into Your Behavioral and Emotional Intelligence for In-House Success, sponsored by Major, Lindsey & Africa.
Behavioral and emotional intelligence are skills and abilities that enable us to use the power of behaviors and emotion (our own and others) to inform our thinking, decision-making and actions. To succeed in-house, lawyers must build confidence and trust through human connections and actively demonstrate soft skills—such as leadership, management, communication, team-work, collaboration, flexibility and innovation—that are highly valued by our business partners. Our speaker will provide insight on how to evaluate your own behavioral IQ and emotional intelligence and how to use that knowledge to positively impact your relationships and elevate your effectiveness as an in-house lawyer.
