Hanover, MD (October 30, 2017) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, today announced that Amanda K. Brady, a Partner in the firm and the Global Practice Leader of the Law Firm Management group, has been inducted as a fellow in the College of Law Practice Management, which has 250 fellows around the world.
The College was formed in 1994 to honor and recognize distinguished law practice management professionals, to set standards of achievement for others in the profession and to fund and assist projects that enhance the highest quality of law practice management. Fellows of the College are nominated by their peers each year and elected by the College Board of Trustees. They are distinguished law practice management professionals who represent law firms, educational institutions, professional associations and other organizations that contribute to excellence in law practice management.
"This is such an honor for me to be selected as a fellow of the College. Indeed it is a milestone," said Amanda, who divides her time between Major, Lindsey & Africa's New York and Houston offices. "To be recognized as a peer by these legal industry leaders is extremely gratifying."
As Global Practice Leader of MLA's Law Firm Management Practice Group, Amanda specializes in placing business professionals across the law firm management suite. Her specialty includes "chiefs" and "directors" of operations, finance, marketing, business development, strategy, pricing, human resources, recruiting and professional development, technology, knowledge management and practice management.
"Amanda has a deep understanding of the transformations law firms have had to undergo to meet changing market demands and is an expert in identifying talented professionals who can help their organizations successfully navigate these waters," said John Cashman, President of Major, Lindsey & Africa. "I am delighted that the College of Law Practice Management has recognized Amanda with this accolade."
Amanda has spent her career in the legal industry, originally in administration for an Am Law 100 firm and then in search for a New York-based legal search firm and a national executive search firm. She was included in Lawdragon's "100 Leading Legal Consultants and Strategists" for 2016 and 2017 and has more than 15 years of executive and legal search experience—more than 10 of which have focused on building executive management teams for Am Law 100 and 200 firms.
