Enterprise Holdings Inc. has a new general counsel at the wheel of its global legal framework.
Michael Andrew, formerly the top lawyer at the hospitality company Carlson Inc., has joined Enterprise as its executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. The hiring was announced on June 7 by the legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, which facilitated Andrew's hiring.
Andrew replaces Thomas Laffey, who is retiring. Andrew will be based in Enterprise's corporate offices in St. Louis. Andrew joined Carlson in 2013 after 14 years at global lodging company Marriott International. At Marriott, he served in various senior legal positions, eventually leaving the firm as senior vice president and deputy general counsel of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corp. Andrew attended Stetson University College of Law and the University of Florida.
"Michael has a strong customer orientation, and Enterprise is very much a culture-driven organization," said Paul S. Williams, a partner with Major, Lindsey & Africa. "They really want folks who are customer-oriented and extremely collaborative, and Mike fit the bill."
