Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has named Randi S. Lewis as a director to launch and lead its Baltimore recruiting office. She will specialize in recruiting and placing law firm partners and associates within the Baltimore market and surrounding areas. In her new position, she also will focus on helping law firms with strategic practice acquisitions and planning.
Ms. Lewis joins Major, Lindsey & Africa after a well-established career at Miles & Stockbridge, one of the largest law firms in Maryland, where she most recently served as the director of lateral recruitment and diversity. As part of her role, she recruited lawyers at all levels for the firm's offices in Maryland, D.C., and Northern Virginia, worked on strategic growth initiatives and played a key role in the acquisition, onboarding and integration of small firms, multiple lawyer practice groups and partners with portable practices. She also has experience in advocating for the recruitment, development and promotion of women and minorities, and she will continue these recruitment efforts with MLA. Previously, she practiced law for 13 years with a law firm in Los Angeles.
