Robert J. Brigham in San Francisco, Joshua Emery Dull in Miami and Sonya Olds Som in Chicago Promoted to Partner
NEW YORK (September 28, 2016) — Major, Lindsey & Africa, the world's leading legal search firm, today announced the promotion of three new partners to the firm: Robert J. Brigham, a member of the Partner Practice Group in the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices; Joshua Emery Dull, a member of the Partner Practice Group based in Miami; and Sonya Olds Som, a member of the In-House Practice Group based in Chicago.
"Each year it is my privilege to participate in the process of selecting individuals who display the values of partnership, consistently deliver top performances and have a lasting impact on the performance of others," said Simon Robinson, president of Major, Lindsey & Africa. "This year was no different. Bob, Josh and Sonya are truly bar setters in the industry and well-deserving of this esteemed title within Major, Lindsey & Africa."
Bob Brigham joined Major, Lindsey & Africa in 2011 after practicing corporate and securities law at Cooley LLP in Silicon Valley for more than 22 years, including 15 years as an equity partner. This experience gives him a deep understanding of the practices that are important to clients in this market and provides a valuable perspective when advising law firm clients on lateral partner searches or advising potential candidates on lateral opportunities. He particularly enjoys counseling law firm partners on career issues, including helping partners to understand the rapidly evolving Northern California law firm market, and providing confidential and objective representation if and when they decide to explore moving firms. Bob holds a J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School.
Josh Dull is based in Major, Lindsey & Africa's Miami office, where he assists clients and candidates throughout Florida and the Southeast. He has represented and placed numerous high-value partners and groups with some of the world's leading law firms, and has facilitated several office openings and law firm mergers during his career. Josh also helps lead Major, Lindsey & Africa's successful Latin America practice where he has partnered with clients to achieve their growth strategies throughout the region, including Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa in 2008, he worked as a legal recruiter for a regional company for more than three years where he successfully placed attorneys and executives for numerous Florida law firms, corporations and not-for-profits. Josh holds a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Sonya Som is primarily responsible for strategizing and leading networking business development and marketing initiatives for Major, Lindsey & Africa's In-House Practice Group throughout the Midwest.
