He is the company's chief legal advisor and is responsible for providing Panasonic and its North American affiliates with legal and regulatory compliance services.
Mr. Atkins, who held numerous roles in his 10 years with AOL, Inc., most recently served as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, where he oversaw securities regulation, corporate governance, labor & employment and global compliance matters. He joined AOL from Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where his practice focused on a wide variety of mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and securities law matters.
Mr. Atkins has been recognized for his extensive experience in managing in-house legal teams in securities regulation, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, employment, employee benefits, executive compensation, facilities and global compliance.
Mr. Atkins was named to Lawyers Of Color' 2015 "Power List" representing the nation's 100 most influential attorneys of color. He was also named to Savoy Magazine's 2015 list of "Most Influential Black Lawyers."
