Lateral Partner Satisfaction Survey: A Decade of Perspective

This report, authored by Jon Lindsey, documents the findings of a proprietary survey sent to 5,622 lateral partners in 647 law firms conducted in June/July of 2006 by Major, Lindsey & Africa (following up on Major, Lindsey & Africa's groundbreaking 1996 survey). The survey measures the importance of eight critical factors considered by laterals when choosing their new law firms, describes the extent to which law firms succeed in integrating lateral partners, and examines how integration impacts a lateral's overall satisfaction.
