MLA Facilitates Fennemore Craig and Dowling Aaron Merger to Form Full-Service Firm in the West

Hanover, MD (August 20, 2020) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced today their role as facilitators in the merger of Arizona-based Fennemore Craig PC and California law firm Dowling Aaron. Howard Cohl, managing director in Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Partner Practice Group, facilitated the combination.

Effective Oct. 1, the combination will bring together Fennemore Craig's six offices in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada and Dowling Aaron's four offices in California, creating a law firm of approximated 350 lawyers and legal professionals.

The merger combines the firms' strengths in agribusiness and water law. Their practice will also focus on business and finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, construction, health care, business litigation, tax, trusts and estate planning, corporate, bankruptcy, natural resources and environmental, ERISA and benefits, intellectual property, labor relations and employment law, and emerging business.
