Dave Maurer is a member of our Partner Practice Group in Northern California where he specializes in consulting with prominent law firm partners about their careers. He serves as leader of the San Francisco office; in this role, he helps guide the team in providing talent management solution to the legal industry.
Dave lives in the San Francisco East Bay city of Walnut Creek, with his wife, Joni, his son, Jackson, his daughter, Sydney, and his beagle, Hazel. He enjoys spending time with his family (not the beagle), making pizzas, baking bread and making ice cream.
Dave spent the majority of his time practicing law as an in-house attorney at a Fortune 50 brokerage firm and investment bank. Prior to attending law school, Dave worked in the investment, retirement and trust departments of a Fortune 50 national bank.
Dave earned his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, graduating magna cum laude. In addition to Law Review, he was also a member of the Willem C. Vis Moot Arbitration team, which travelled to Vienna, Austria to compete in international competition. Dave earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley – Go Bears! – where he studied Political Science.
