A Conversation with Shelley Webb

Shelley Webb, general counsel of PagerDuty, explains how her extensive litigation experience gave her the foundation to move in-house and eventually step into the General Counsel role of a public company. She shares her career path and advice with Lina Guo in this episode of GCs in the House.


Shelley Webb, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at PagerDuty, has a long and accomplished history as a lawyer. She began her career at Williams & Connolly LLP, where she represented clients in a wide variety of litigation matters.

In September 2013, Shelley joined Intel Corporation, where she ultimately served as the Vice President and Group General Counsel for the Client Computing Group. There, she oversaw the global legal operations for Intel's Legal Department and was responsible for the legal affairs of Intel's $40B annual revenue PC business - Intel's largest business unit.

In April 2022, Shelley joined PagerDuty as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In this role, she is responsible for the legal affairs of the company and provides strategic legal guidance to senior management.

Shelley earned her Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Stanford Law School. Prior to attending Stanford, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with High Distinction in Economics and Government.
