Major, Lindsey & Africa Promotes Five Interim Legal Talent Recruiters

Hanover, MD (August 15, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the promotion of five new managing directors within the firm’s Interim Legal Talent team: Katelyn Braun in Basking Ridge, NJ; Dan Clough in San Francisco; Jamie Dobert in San Francisco; Andrew Teig in New York; and Laura Weyer in Chicago.

“Not only have these individuals honed a strong understanding of legal recruiting, but more importantly they have developed expertise within the business of law and assisting our clients with their varying legal and business matters,” said Matthew Weaver, executive director of Interim Legal Talent–North America. “Katelyn, Dan, Jamie, Andrew and Laura continually approach their searches and their relationships with the evolving needs of our client’s in mind. We could not be prouder of their successes.”

Katelyn Braun joined in April 2017 and helped start our New Jersey office. Katelyn worked for both major corporate law firms as well as private practices before she moved to Major, Lindsey & Africa. She has a J.D. from Elon University and a B.A. from West Virginia University.

Dan Clough joined in June 2017 and has very quickly become one of MLA Interim’s top performers. Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Dan worked on several high-profile criminal defense cases at the federal and state level. He graduated from the University of Arizona with his J.D. and the University of Hartford with his B.S. in Business Administration.

Jamie Dobert joined in October 2016 and has been an integral piece to the success of our Northern California office. Before Major, Lindsey & Africa, Jamie was with Wilson Sonsini for five years and McDonald Law Corporation. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, San Diego.

Andrew Teig joined in October 2016 and has made many placements in New York that have allowed for the team to reach heights that lead the way in our Interim business. He came to MLA after working both in-house and in private practice, most recently as the general counsel and vice president of sales for Genius Education. He earned his J.D. from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and his B.B.A. from The George Washington University.

Laura Weyer has been an integral part of the team’s progression and success since joining Major, Lindsey & Africa in March 2015. Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Laura worked as an associate attorney at a workers' compensation defense firm in Chicago and then as a project-based attorney assisting with discovery matters. She received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and her B.A. from Western Michigan University.
