Kate Olgers, a Managing Director, offers her clients and candidates valuable knowledge and insights informed by her experience as a top-tier law firm partner, the co-founder of a legal services disruptor and a general counsel and chief legal officer.

As a member of the Partner Practice Group, Kate counsels law firms, partners and partner groups, helping them navigate the lateral market and make the decisions that support their success.

She also brings a valuable insider’s perspective to the In-House Counsel Practice Group, able to partner with firms across a variety of industries in the recruitment of general counsel, chief legal officers and heads of legal who match their unique needs.

She is an advocate for diversity, a trained executive coach and finds reward in matching talent with opportunity.

Kate is a proud mother of two and an avid cyclist who rises in the dark to train so she can compete successfully at elite master’s level. She also enjoys theatre, contemporary art and Sydney’s excellent restaurant scene.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Kate enjoyed a successful legal career as a partner of Allens Linklaters; a co-founder of legal services disruptor, AdventBalance Lawyers (now Lawyers on Demand); Chief Legal Officer and Group Executive of ASX20 Suncorp Group; a General Counsel of ASX10 National Australia Bank; and General Counsel and Company Secretary at State-Owned Corporation Sydney Water.

She has a wealth of experience working as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders in complex commercial environments and across a variety of industries including banking, insurance, real estate, infrastructure, private equity and government.
