“I can say unequivocally that working with Kate is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Kate connected with me last year when I was still in my first year of practicing law, and at the time, I had no clue what caliber of recruiter and person I'd just connected with. Kate's LinkedIn posts about recruiting and the state of the lateral market blew me away, and when I knew the time was right, I reached out with a particular moonshot firm/position in mind. She didn't flinch; she was just determined to make it happen. I'll soon be starting work at that moonshot job and that wouldn't be possible without Kate.” – Associate at Covington & Burling
"Kate is incredibly thoughtful, engaging, and candidate-centric with her approach driven by your short- and long-term career goals as well as your personal/family considerations. What sets Kate apart is her absolute candor and her willingness to take time to understand your current career/personal dynamics and what you value in your next step. In doing so, Kate establishes trust as the foundation upon which you’ll work together to develop a plan, consider different options and perspectives, and talk through all the what-ifs. Above all, I most admire Kate’s unwillingness to compromise on her candidate-centric approach. Rather than assumptions and predetermined judgments, Kate listens intently then leverages her immense experience and network while advocating fiercely on your behalf." – Associate at Cooley
“Kate is a dream to work with. This whole process can be incredibly stressful. There isn't a guidebook for ‘how to lateral to a new firm’ and that unknown can spark a lot of fear and doubt. Enter: Kate. She's an incredible advocate. She really listens to what you are looking for. She's not afraid to push back to make sure you've thought about all your options, but isn't going to suggest something that is a bad fit. She takes care of each associate as an individual and not someone to throw at the same 15 job listings. She's also a real pro at the process. Working with her on my resume, picking firms, interviews, etc., was a dream. I wholeheartedly recommend Kate to anyone looking to make a transition.” – Litigator at Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass
“As a former lawyer, Kate knows the legal market inside and out. She harnesses her wealth of experience as a lawyer and recruiter to help guide her clients with utmost professionalism. Most importantly, Kate is also an incredibly kind, hardworking mother dedicated to the diversification of the legal workforce. I am so grateful our paths crossed and very much appreciate Kate’s wise counsel. If you’re interested in pursuing new opportunities in the legal market, look no further—Kate Reder Sheikh is the best.” – An associate at Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass
“Kate is a stellar recruiter, and an even better person. From our initial phone call, it was apparent that I was not dealing with an ordinary recruiter; she was honest, proactive, and always open to answer difficult questions. Before my interview, she walked me through the process and gave me extremely helpful insights about the people I interviewed with. After I got the offer I wanted, she did not rush me; rather, she walked me through the pros and cons of making the move. At the end, I accepted a job offer I could only dream about before meeting with Kate (and it only took two weeks from beginning to end!!). I honestly could not think of a better recruiter to work with. I highly recommend Kate for anyone who inspires to make a lateral move - you will not regret it!” – An associate at Kirkland & Ellis
