As Vice President, Group General Counsel & Global Privacy Officer, Maureen Dry-Wasson acts as the trusted advisor to Major, Lindsey & Africa and Allegis Partners regarding all aspects of their corporate and legal needs. She has been the general counsel since Major, Lindsey & Africa became a part of Allegis Group in 2008.

Maureen is also a part of the Allegis Group legal team where she is responsible for ERISA/employee benefits issues for all of Allegis Group’s U.S. companies. In addition, she is the Allegis Group global privacy officer, directing the privacy initiatives for Major, Lindsey & Africa, Allegis Partners and all of the Allegis Group companies worldwide. 

Maureen is currently the chair of the In-House Benefits Counsel Network and on the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Diversity in Privacy Advisory Board. Previously, she was on the IAPP Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board for two years before transitioning to the diversity one. Maureen has also taken the LCLD General Counsel pledge.

Maureen enjoys yoga, Pilates and cross training, and when not in the gym, she loves sports photography, cooking and family vacations with her husband and four sons.

Maureen has been in-house counsel for more than 20 years, starting her career at Vertis, Inc., where she started as a staff attorney and finished as deputy general counsel—corporate before transitioning to Allegis Group and Major, Lindsey & Africa. Maureen has handled legal issues across a wide variety of substantive areas including employment, litigation management, commercial contracts, corporate, ERISA/employee benefits, intellectual property and privacy.

Maureen has received privacy certifications through the IAPP for the U.S., Canada, Europe and Privacy Management and is a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). She received the Member of the Year Award from the ACC in 2008.
