MLA Places Daniel J. Hemmer as the First General Counsel at Bridge Development Partners, LLC

Hanover, MD (August 7, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Daniel Hemmer as general counsel at Bridge Development Partners, LLC in Chicago. The search was led by Michael Sachs, partner and Casey Gordon, director, both of MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice in Chicago.

Bridge Development Partners is a privately-owned firm that focuses on the acquisition and development of Class A industrial real estate in the supply constrained core industrial markets of Chicago, South Florida, Northern New Jersey, Southern California and Seattle. In this new role, Daniel will serve as the chief legal adviser to this growing industrial real estate development company. As a member of Bridge’s management team, he will provide business-oriented and practical legal counsel regarding Bridge’s activities and manage a nationwide network of outside counsel.

Prior to joining Bridge Development Partners, Daniel served as general counsel and secretary for First Industrial Realty Trust, a leading developer, owner, and operator of industrial real estate across 22 major markets in North America. Previously, he served as general counsel and secretary for CenterPoint Properties Trust and as associate general counsel and assistant secretary for Flynn Enterprises/LKQ Corporation. Daniel began his career as a corporate associate for Warner Norcross & Judd LLP.

Daniel earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, his MPP from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
