MLA Announces the Appointment of Isabelle Coste-Le Personnic as Legal Director, Europe at Jacobs Douwe Egberts B.V.

Hanover, MD (March 23, 2021) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the appointment of Isabelle Coste-Le Personnic as legal director Europe at Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE), the world’s largest pure-play coffee and tea group based in The Netherlands. The search was conducted by Tanja Albers, partner and  Elena Bajada, director in MLA’s in-house counsel group in Amsterdam and London, respectively.

Isabelle has a significant track record of building and developing successful legal teams. She joins Jacobs Douwe Egberts from Danone where she served in the legal function in both France and The Netherlands. In her previous role as general counsel and compliance officer for the Benelux, she led a team of lawyers covering all aspects of regional legal affairs and served on the local executive committee. She created and led the Danone EU general counsel’s network and Danone EU compliance officers’ network.

Earlier in her career, Isabelle was in private practice at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP; Shearman & Sterling; and Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in Paris.

Isabelle earned her LL.B in English and French Law at King’s College London, her Maîtrise and license at Université Paris I, and Master 2 Recherche at Université Paris I.
