Hanover, MD (May 10, 2017) —Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, today announced that it has been retained by Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) to recruit a general counsel to succeed Timothy A. Pratt, who will retire by the end of 2017 after nine years in the role. Paul Williams, partner and member of Major, Lindsey & Africa's In-House Practice Group in Chicago, is leading the search.
The general counsel will provide global legal counsel leadership across all businesses, regions and functions and will report to Boston Scientific Chairman and CEO, Michael Mahoney. In the role, the GC will serve as a member of the company's Executive Committee, as secretary to the board of directors, and will also oversee the company's global compliance function. Alongside Mr. Williams, Mr. Pratt will lead Boston Scientific's efforts to identify his successor and will assist in ensuring a seamless transition.
