MLA Has Been Exclusively Retained by Rite Aid Corporation to Find Its Next Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Hanover, MD (April 27, 2020) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, today announced that it has been retained by Rite Aid Corporation to recruit its next executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Elizabeth Long and Deborah Thompson, both managing directors with MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting team in Philadelphia, are leading the search.

Rite Aid’s general counsel will serve as a member of company’s senior management team and will share responsibility with other team members for execution of Rite Aid’s enterprise strategy as an overarching priority. The general counsel will manage the company’s legal and compliance functions while operating within its business-focused culture and structure, oversee all legal matters, and serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, the company’s senior management team and the Board of Directors.
