Elizabeth Long, a Partner in our Philadelphia In-House Counsel Recruiting team, specializes in the recruitment of general counsel, chief compliance officers and other senior attorneys for corporate legal departments as well as not-for-profits and governmental units. She works closely with her clients to understand their needs and identify talent that will grow and thrive with the organization.
Elizabeth and her husband, Eliot, met in law school and reside in Center City, Philadelphia, with their two pug dogs. She is a food, wine and art aficionado as well as an international traveler. When not working, you can usually find her exploring the Philadelphia culinary scene, watching classic movies, listening to jazz or at attending a yoga class.
Elizabeth joined Major, Lindsey & Africa after 16 years in private practice. She spent the last 12 of those years at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, where she was a shareholder. Her practice focused on litigation and counseling clients regarding employment and post-employment issues, such as employment agreements, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, business torts and unfair competition. Prior to that, Elizabeth worked as an associate with both Silverman, Bernheim & Vogel and Britt, Hankins, Schaible & Moughan in Philadelphia and was a clerk for the Honorable Thomas M. Del Ricci of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
