Hanover, MD (June 2, 2020) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the placement of Roger Yang as director of compliance, Greater China at Stryker Corporation, the global medical technology company. The search was led by Jack McDouall of Allegis-BN, MLA’s China affiliate.
Based in the firm’s Shanghai offices, Roger will manage a local team of compliance officers whilst also serving as a member of the China Leadership and Compliance APAC leadership teams. He will oversee, develop and implement an effective compliance programme and support broader APAC projects as a subject-matter expert across many key areas.
Commenting on the appointment, Jack McDouall said, “Roger is a diligent and responsive senior compliance officer who will add tremendous value to Stryker’s business in China.”
Roger joins Stryker from Astellas Pharma US, where he served as executive director, ethics and compliance. There, he led the China team in the design and implementation of a compliance program across the entire organisation. Previously, he was regional compliance director with AstraZeneca in China, where he led and developed compliance strategies to support business units across the region. His earlier experience includes eight years with CEVA Logistics, developing global compliance strategy and maintaining compliance awareness across the APAC region.
Roger holds a B.A. in Industrial Engineering & Management from Ming Chi University of Technology, Taipei.
