MLA Places Lanesha Minnix as General Counsel of BMC Stock Holdings

Hanover, MD (June 1, 2017) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Lanesha Minnix as senior vice president and general counsel of BMC Stock Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of diversified lumber and building materials and solutions to new construction builders and professional remodelers in the U.S. The search was led by Melba Hughes and Paul Williams, partners in Major, Lindsey & Africa's In-House Practice Group.

In this role, Lanesha will be responsible for all legal affairs of the corporation as well as corporate governance guidance to the board of directors and oversight of contracts, negotiations and risk assessment.

Lanesha joins BMC from ABM Industries Incorporated, a Fortune 500 facility solutions company, where she most recently served as vice president, deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer. Before her tenure with ABM, she held roles with increasing responsibility at both Royal Dutch Shell/Shell Oil Company and Sprint Corporation. Lanesha began her career as a corporate associate at the law firm of K&L Gates.

Lanesha earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from St. Louis University and a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa.
