Steve Krull Placed as La-Z-Boy’s Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

Hanover, MD (January 25, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Steve Krull as vice president, general counsel and secretary at  La-Z-Boy Incorporated (NYSE: LZB)  in Monroe, Michigan. The search was led by Michael Sachs and Amanda Ziemann of Major, Lindsey & Africa’s In-House Practice Group in Chicago.

In his new role, Steve will be responsible for planning and directing all legal matters related to La-Z-Boy and its portfolio of brands, including contracts, patents and trademarks, litigation, and other corporate legal affairs. He will also be serving as corporate secretary. One of the world’s most recognized brands and leading residential furniture producers, La‑Z‑Boy has been producing some of the world’s most comfortable furniture for more than 90 years.

Before joining La-Z-Boy, Steve spent more than 25 years in corporate and private practice. He most recently served as executive vice president and general counsel for Miller Diversified, a privately-held real estate firm where he managed the launch of a real estate investment fund. Steve’s background also includes various leadership positions with Owens Corning, including senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. He began his career as an attorney with Sidley & Austin in Chicago focusing on commercial transactions.

Steve has a J.D. from IIT Chicago – Kent College of Law and a B.S. from Eastern Illinois University.
