Hanover, MD (February 3, 2026)— Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, announced today that Kendall Smardzewski has joined the organization as practice lead, client development within its Interim Legal Talent practice. Together with her team, Kendall partners with corporations, law firms and non-profit organizations to provide more flexible access to high-quality attorney expertise and services through interim assignments, special projects, or secondee model services without having to add permanent resources. Kendall will be leading teams in our Boston, New York/New Jersey, and Washington DC offices.

Kendall joins MLA from Clark Hill PLC, where she was Business Unit Director for the Banking & Finance and Immigration practice groups, working closely with firm leadership in all operational and strategic hiring initiatives. Prior to Clark Hill, Kendall served as Division Director of Beacon Hill Legal’s Washington DC office.
