MLA Promotes Eight Directors to Managing Directors Across All Practices

Hanover, MD (December 20, 2022) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, recently announced the promotion of nine directors to the role of managing director across all business lines. These promotions have been earned due to each individual’s dedication and commitment to their clients’ and candidates’ professional goals.

“Each of these dedicated recruiters has forged strong relationships within the legal industry and exceled at helping talented lawyers reach their career goals,” said John Cashman, president of Major, Lindsey & Africa. “The leadership team and I are proud to recognize their hard work and excellence.”

In MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting team, Arthi Cobb, Craig Donaldson, Bob Mannino, Thanh Nguyen and Pamela Salling have been promoted.

Arthi, who is based in the London office, joined the firm after nearly a decade of working as a search and recruitment professional for two other international legal search firms where she led on the execution of senior legal retained search.

Craig has had an illustrious career, which began as a corporate and litigation associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago. Since then, Craig has led legal departments in the U.S. and overseas, designed and launched ethics and compliance programs, and overseen global business units. Most recently, he served as chief ethics and compliance officer for Volvo Cars Americas.

Based in Boston, Bob was previously in-house counsel for The Faneuil Companies. Before that, he spent nine years in private practice with a variety of boutique law firms in Boston and Philadelphia.

After attending Northwestern University and The George Washington University Law School, Thanh was a litigator at Clifford Chance and Latham & Watkins, where she represented multinational clients in bet-the-company litigation and FCPA investigations. She later transitioned in-house to PepsiCo, Inc. to help build the company’s global anticorruption compliance program.

Based in Basking Ridge, NJ, Pam practiced law for nearly 10 years, primarily representing healthcare providers before transitioning into a global legal consulting role. In that role, she moved to Switzerland to expand her employer’s service offerings into EMEA.

Within the MLA Interim Legal Talent team, Adam Harris, Nishat Hossain and Allison LaFramboise were promoted. Adam spent much of his career prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa as a legal assistant for varying law firms in Northern California. Nishat Hossain joined the firm from Apple Inc, where she served as product counsel. Prior to that, she worked as an IP litigation associate. Before moving into legal recruiting, Allison was a senior litigation consultant at FTI and Chicago Winter, where she consulted on national and international complex litigation projects for top-tier law firms with high-risk exposure.

Finally, Jason Keller was promoted within the law firm practices. Jason joined the firm as a practice specialist and has quickly worked his way up within the firm.
