As a Managing Director – Client Development, Jay Brenner works with corporations, small businesses, nonprofits and law firms to identify legal talent solutions to address their workforce challenges. Jay’s approach to alternative legal services is centered on relationships and serving both clients and attorney consultants as a trusted advisor.
Jay lives in Coppell, Texas, with his wife, Carly, and three children: Arissa, Jonah and Leah. He is a lifelong University of Memphis Tigers fan and former host of a radio show in Memphis, which took off after a short (and largely unsuccessful) improv career.
Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Jay was a senior manager at PwC, where he led the launch of the firm's U.S.-based Legal Managed Services practice. In that role, he recruited, engineered, and led teams of legal professionals working on various consulting engagements including data privacy initiatives, contract lifecycle management, internal investigations, compliance reviews, litigation document review and due diligence.
Before that, Jay worked in various operational and recruiting roles at Legility (formerly Counsel on Call), where he recruited, deployed, and managed teams engaged on a variety of matters for corporate clients and law firms. There, he also launched the Managed Review division's first cloud-based learning management system.
Jay was previously a litigation attorney at McCarter & English, LLP where he helped lead defense counsel’s eDiscovery efforts in response to federal government and civil product liability lawsuits for a Fortune 100 prescription drug manufacturer.
