Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Peter practiced law in the corporate departments and technology practice groups of WilmerHale and Mintz Levin, where he represented a diverse array of institutions. He also served as outside counsel to a venture fund and knowledge management software company. Peter publishes on issues ranging from law firm business to organizational culture and is regularly consulted by the legal press. He also speaks to law students and recent graduates regarding career trajectory, trends and professional development.

Community and Organizational Involvement

Peter' serves in Los Angeles and Southern California community as a leader, volunteer and donor.  Among other engagements, he:

  • Teaches interviewing and personal development to first generation minority college students through America Needs You
  • Provided longtime prisoners and homeless employment counseling at Chrysalis
  • Created and delivered job retention and advancement presentations for working poor mothers at Salvation Army pre-schools
  • Taught resume building to middle schoolers through Team Prime Time
  • Works with the founders of Baseball Generations on expanding training access and fostering opportunity for Los Angeles urban youth

Additionally, Peter is involved as a supporter of Notre Dame High School and its athletic department and organizations such as the Dodgers Foundation and Team Prime Time.  A retired youth sports coach who now enjoys being a fan of his baseball and soccer players, he has also been active in the Jewish Federation and AIPAC's Legal Division and as an LADCFS adoptive parent is an advocate for foster children and child welfare reform through local and national organizations.
