Randi Lewis, a Managing Director with our Partner Practice Group, places partners, groups and associates into law firms of all sizes in Maryland and surrounding areas, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Richmond and other cities. Randi also collaborates with our in-house team to place lawyers in legal departments of local, regional and global businesses. She is a trusted strategic partner who works closely with law firm leaders on strategic practice acquisitions.
Randi writes a monthly column on issues of import to lawyers in the Maryland Daily Record, including a November 2018 column entitled, “A happy lawyer is not an oxymoron.” A champion of diversity and inclusion, she was a member of the company’s 2019 global Diversity Council.
Randi has more than fifteen years of experience helping lawyers transition from one firm to another. A self-described interview prep maven, Randi is a certified employment interview professional (CEIP) who regularly counsels lawyers on interviewing, LPQs, compensation negotiations and career strategy. She also works with lawyers in transition through her work at Resume Boutique LLC, a career transition consulting company she founded in 2005.
Randi practiced law for many years with a law firm in Los Angeles, California. After relocating to Maryland, she served as the director of lateral recruitment and diversity at one of the largest law firms in the state. In that role, she recruited lawyers at all levels for the firm’s offices in Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Randi also participated in strategic diversity and growth initiatives. She played a key role in the acquisition of law firms, multiple lawyer practice groups and partners with portable practices, and she co-designed and implemented the onboarding and integration of new lawyers.
