Hanover, MD (October 20th, 2020) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the appointment of Deborah Vaughn as senior vice president and general counsel – international at Walmart Inc, the multinational retail corporation. A cross border collaboration, the search was led by Naveen Tuli, PJ Harari, Olivia Seet, and Arthi Cobb in MLA’s Delhi, Los Angeles, Singapore, and London offices respectively.

Deborah joins Walmart from Kimberley-Clark where she was vice president and chief legal counsel for their Asia-Pacific operations, based in Singapore. Before Kimberly-Clark, Deborah worked for over 10 years in various legal roles for the Whirlpool Corporation in Italy, the United States and China. Prior to Whirlpool, she worked as an attorney at several private firms, served as a journalist in New Zealand and was an English teacher in Malaysia.Deborah received her Master of Laws from The George Washington University Law School and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hertfordshire in England. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Journalism from the Auckland Institute of Technology in New Zealand and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, English Language and Philosophy from the National University of Singapore.
