MLA Places Adam Nadborny as General Counsel at Seven Valleys

Hanover, MD (June 17, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Adam Nadborny as general counsel for Seven Valleys LLC in New York City. The search was led by Dimitri Mastrocola and Sheri Michaels, partners with MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice Group in New York.

Seven Valleys is the family office of Xin Zhang and Shiyi Pan, co-founders of SOHO China, the largest commercial property developer in China. With Xin Zhang at the helm as its CEO, Seven Valleys is currently transitioning into a US-based real estate investment company, with plans to invest in existing commercial assets, large-scale commercial and residential developments (including in joint-venture with major developers), and in first mortgages and mezzanine debt.

In his new role, Adam will be responsible for managing all aspects of the legal needs for Seven Valleys and its related entities. He will serve as a key member of the executive team, managing strategic and tactical legal initiatives, providing legal advice and assessing the legal implications of all proposed actions.

Before joining Seven Valleys, Adam was general counsel and chief compliance officer for Atalaya Capital Management and C12 Capital Management before that. He began his career as an attorney with Babcock Brown and Skadden Arps, focusing on real estate. Adam earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia and his B.A. from Yale University.
