MLA Places Shalinee Kulshreshtha as General Counsel, South Asia at Dentsu International

Hanover, MD (September 28th, 2021) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the placement of Shalinee Kulshreshtha as general counsel, South Asia at Dentsu International, the multinational media and digital marketing communications company. The search was led by Naveen Tuli and Pooja Mahbubani with MLA’s In-House Counsel group in Delhi and Hong Kong, respectively.

Based in Delhi, Shalinee will serve as a member of the South Asia leadership team providing strategic legal advice to the India CEO, functional leaders and other key stakeholders. In addition to managing the South Asia legal and compliance functions, she will oversee the India and Sri Lanka risk and compliance committees and the India company secretarial function.

Commenting on the appointment, Naveen Tuli said: “Shalinee is a passionate lawyer with extensive experience leading legal teams focused in India and South Asia. She is a strategic and hands-on leader and we’re delighted with her appointment.”

Shalinee joins Dentsu from Pearson India, where she was general counsel and compliance officer, South Asia. In this role, she was a key member of the South Asia leadership team, chief vigilance officer, head of secretarial, board director, and a member of the management team and disciplinary committee. Prior to this, Shalinee was director of law and contracts for South Asia with Honeywell. Previous in-house roles include tenure with AGC Networks Limited, PWC and DuPont.

Shalinee holds a Master of Business Laws from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, an LL.M from Kurukshetra University and an LL.B from Maharishi Dayanand University.
