What is the best part of your job?

Working with my colleagues, we have an amazing team where everyone is very supportive, trusting of each other.

What is the most surprising part of being a recruiter?

After doing recruitment for more than 15 years, I still get a real buzz every time I make a placement. It is a great feeling when you know you have helped someone in securing a job and made a difference in their lives.

How would you describe your career in 5 words or less?

Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.

I joined in July 2020 and was tasked to set up the Interim Legal Practice in Singapore. Thanks to our amazing team, clients and consultants, we have built up a successful practice from scratch and I have really enjoyed the journey.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a recruiter?

Recruitment is probably the hardest sales job where your products are your candidates and they have the ability to say no. Be authentic in your approach and always have your candidates’ and clients’ best interests at heart.

If you weren’t a lawyer or a recruiter, what career would you have had?

I would love to be a Secret Shopper for restaurants.

What is on your bucket list?

To travel the world with my 2 kids. (When they are older, of course, it is a nightmare to travel with my toddlers now.)
